Em Salvador, sua presen\u00e7a ainda ecoa como a de um ancestral encantado, que guia e inspira. M\u00f4a tamb\u00e9m dedicou sua vida a um trabalho social transformador, promovendo a autoestima de jovens negros perif\u00e9ricos e ressignificando suas identidades.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Educador, compositor, percussionista, mestre de capoeira angola, do afox\u00e9 e da dan\u00e7a afro-brasileira, Mestre M\u00f4a do Katend\u00ea deixou um legado imensur\u00e1vel em seus 63 anos de vida. Ele personificou a cultura afro-brasileira e dedicou sua trajet\u00f3ria a fortalecer as ra\u00edzes de sua comunidade, criando pontes entre tradi\u00e7\u00e3o e inova\u00e7\u00e3o cultural.<\/span><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4376 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/adalu.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Moa-raiz-.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"982\" srcset=\"https:\/\/adalu.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Moa-raiz-.png 700w, https:\/\/adalu.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Moa-raiz--214x300.png 214w, https:\/\/adalu.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Moa-raiz--9x12.png 9w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O document\u00e1rio M\u00f4a \u2013 Raiz Afro M\u00e3e (2022), escrito e dirigido por Gustavo McNair, \u00e9 um tributo \u00e0 sua grandeza. Iniciado em 2018, ano de sua tr\u00e1gica morte em um epis\u00f3dio de viol\u00eancia pol\u00edtica, o filme revisita o bairro Engenho Velho de Brotas, onde Mestre M\u00f4a nasceu e criou o bloco de afox\u00e9 Badau\u00ea ao lado de Jorj\u00e3o Bafaf\u00e9. Popularizado pela m\u00fasica de Caetano Veloso, Misteriosamente, o Badau\u00ea resgatou o candombl\u00e9 de rua e deixou sua marca entre 1979 e 1992.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><iframe style=\"border-radius: 12px;\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/artist\/37DW7EAPNmsItmyh3WXrCc?utm_source=generator&amp;theme=0\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>Al\u00e9m do Badau\u00ea, M\u00f4a foi compositor de can\u00e7\u00f5es memor\u00e1veis para o Il\u00ea Aiy\u00ea, o primeiro bloco afro do Brasil, que celebrou seus 50 anos em 2024. Sua arte simbolizava a reafricaniza\u00e7\u00e3o da Bahia, num momento em que o funk norte-americano e o black power tamb\u00e9m influenciavam a juventude negra. Como relata o performer Negrizu, o \"mo\u00e7o lindo do Badau\u00ea\" de Beleza Pura (Caetano Veloso, 1979), foi nos afox\u00e9s e blocos afro que a Bahia reencontrou suas ra\u00edzes, transformando-se culturalmente.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A hist\u00f3ria de Mestre M\u00f4a transcende sua m\u00fasica e dan\u00e7a. Ela reflete a resist\u00eancia e a for\u00e7a de um povo que luta por dignidade, conex\u00e3o espiritual e afirma\u00e7\u00e3o de sua identidade.
